Peter Hyoguchi is a filmmaker, journalist and co-creator (along with ExploreTalent.com) of Interviewing Hollywood. In 2000, he wrote and directed First, Last and Deposit which won the audience award for Best Feature Film at the San Francisco Independent Film Fest as well as Best Drama at the New York Independent Film Festival. In 2001, IFC began airing the film with an interview with Peter Hyoguchi.
At the age of fifteen, Hyoguchi won George Lucas' first youth film festival for his sci-fi short entitled The Future's Future. His passion for movies and moviemaking lead him to dropping out of high school after receiving an art grant to direct and produce a feature-length version of Jean-Paul Sartre's play "No Exit".
Peter has been hired to write five feature screenplays, including an adaptation of a Ray Bradbury script and two best-selling novels. Hyoguchi has taught screenwriting, film production and film history at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Peter lives in West Hollywood - walking distance from the New Beverly Cinema.
